Christoph Busch is Professor of European Private and Business Law at the University of Osnabruck (Germany) and a Visiting Fellow at Yale ISP. His research has been focused on consumer and contract law in digital markets and algorithmic regulation. Christoph is a Fellow and Council Member of the European Law Institute (ELI), coordinator of the ELI Digital Law Group and co-director of the ELI Project Group on Online Intermediary Platforms. He is member of the European Commission’s Expert Group for the Observatory on the Online Platform Economy, which provides advice for the EU policy on digital platforms. Christoph is co-founder and editor of the Journal of European Consumer and Market Law. He is principal investigator of a research project on personalized law (“Granular Society – Granular Law?”) funded by the Volkswagen Foundation under a “Momentum” grant (2019-2024). His research at the ISP will focus on platform liability and personalized law.
