Gerson Zweifach is a Visiting Lecturer in Law at Yale Law School and a Partner at Williams & Connolly, where he has spent more than 30 years. Zweifach’s areas of practice span antitrust, financial services and banking, First Amendment and media, patent litigation, and securities litigation. Between 2012 and 2019, Zweifach served as General Counsel for two global media companies, News Corporation and 21st Century Fox. Among other accomplishments, Zweifach guided 21st Century Fox’s acquisition by the Walt Disney Company, among the largest M&A transactions of the past decade. Zweifach has been recognized in the Best Lawyers in America, Chambers USA, Lawdragon 500, and The Legal 500. He received an A.B. magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Brown University and a J.D. from Yale Law School, where he was Note Editor of the Yale Law Journal. Zweifach clerked for the Honorable David Bazelon of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and for the Honorable Pierre N. Leval of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
