Zahra Motamedi is a human rights advocate with a rich 13-year career spanning critical roles within human rights organizations, including significant work in Afghanistan. As an Associate Research Fellow at Yale University's Schell Center for International Human Rights, Zahra is instrumental in documenting human rights violations post-August 15, 2021, in Afghanistan. Her vast experience ranges from being a research officer to a program manager at AIHRC, where she excelled in strategic policy development and high-level advocacy. Zahra’s commitment to advancing women’s rights and minority protection in challenging environments is marked by her proactive approach to policy-making and her ability to navigate complex socio-political landscapes, making her a formidable force in the field of global human rights advocacy.
