Agustina Ordoñez is a Fox International Fellow at Yale University. She holds a M.A. in Journalism and a B.A. in Political Science. She studies social media legislation, focusing primarily on four axes: privacy, algorithm, freedom of speech and advertising. Agustina was a speaker at the ‘Internet Governance Forum 2021’ organized by the United Nations in Katowice, Poland where she spoke about the Argentinian Case in social media platforms legislation. As a journalist, Agustina has written articles related to social media as well as social inequality, gender equality and politics for different newspapers in Latin America. Furthermore, Agustina worked at the Conference of Disarmament, at the United Nations in Geneva, which advocates for a world without weapons and peace. From 2018 to 2021 she was chief of advisors to a Congressman in Argentina. In 2019, Agustina was selected out of 300 candidates as a Leading Woman of the Southern Cone by the NGO Vital Voices Argentina (VVA). After that, she became a foundational member of Club Alumni, a network promoting women’s leadership.
