Chantelle van Wiltenburg

Resident Fellow


Chantelle van Wiltenburg is a lawyer and Master of Laws (LL.M.) Candidate at Yale Law School. Her research interests center on privacy and surveillance, algorithmic decision-making, and platform governance. Chantelle previously practiced as a criminal defence lawyer in Canada, where she worked on cases involving constitutional law, extradition, and national security matters. She also held a summer research fellowship at the Max Planck Institute for Religious and Ethnic Diversity, where her research focused on migration and comparative constitutional law. She holds a J.D. with Honours from the University of Toronto, and a B.A. in English literature from McGill University.
