C. J. Mahoney is a Visiting Clinical Lecturer in Law at Yale Law School. He is also a partner at Williams & Connolly LLP, where he works on trial and appellate matters in state and federal courts. His areas of focus include international commercial arbitration, white-collar defense, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, legal malpractice, and First Amendment law. He has clerked for Associate Justice Anthony M. Kennedy of the Supreme Court of the United States and Chief Judge Alex Kozinski on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Mahoney holds degrees from Yale Law School, where he was editor in chief of the Yale Law Journal, and from Harvard College, where he majored in Government.
