  • Think Like a Founder

Gary Stewart is a Visiting Lecturer in Law at Yale Law School and the CEO and Founder of FounderTribes, a digital platform that provides founders with access to networks and capital to start-up and scale up their businesses. He is also a Governor of the University of East London and on the boards of both UnLtd and the Impact Investing institute. His early legal career involved clerking on the DC Circuit Court of Appeals and then focusing on cross border mergers and acquisitions in private practice in the UK and Spain. Stewart leveraged his education and experience to take on entrepreneurial and teaching opportunities. He co-founded Goa Internet Services, acted as the Managing Director of IE Venture Lab while being an associate professor at both IE Business School and IE Law School, and operated as the CEO at both Wayra Spain and Wayra UK, where he invested in a portfolio of 185 companies now worth more than $1.5 billion.
