Gina Markov is a junior at Yale College studying Applied Math. She is interested in the relationship between digital market power and algorithmic discrimination, accountability, and surveillance of marginalized groups. Her interests in antitrust, data ownership, and digital regulation developed by working as a research assistant for the Thurman Arnold Project at Yale's School of Management. She is also pursuing research projects in network science and mathematical sociology. Outside of ISP, Gina spends time editing for Yale's political and francophone magazines, teaching computer science to middle and high school students, and working for the math department.
