Lisa Qian

Student Fellow

Lisa is a junior studying economics and is also a student in the Schell Center's undergraduate human rights program. Her ISP interests include equity issues inherent in technology, especially as it relates to labor automation, algorithmic determination of access to resources, urban planning and philanthropy deriving from tech wealth. Additionally, she is particularly interested in the ramifications of technology in Southeast and East Asian societies. 

On campus, Lisa works at Tsai CITY as a Knowledge Equity Associate, where she explores the ways technology might be able to further social good. In previous lives, she has worked as a production & design editor for the Yale Daily News and director of a program to teach international relations to New Haven high school students.
