Lucia Baca
Schell Center Student Director
Lucía Baca is a second-year J.D. student at Yale Law School. She is interested in the interplay between courts, social movements, rights, and democracy, especially in as it pertains to human rights and feminist justice in the Americas. Before Law School, she worked to promote LGBT-inclusive peace-building and transitional justice at Colombia Diversa, a leading LGBT rights organization in the country. While at Yale Law School, she has interned with the Complex and Affirmative Litigation Team at the San Francisco City Attorney's Office and serves as Assistant Managing Editor for the Global Constitutionalism Seminar and Political Action Chair for the Latinx Law Students Association. Lucía graduated from Yale College in 2017 with a Bachelor of the Arts in Global Affairs and Latin American Studies.
