Luna van Brussel Barroso

Resident Fellow


Luna van Brussel Barroso is an LL.M. candidate at the Yale Law School and a PhD candidate at the University of São Paulo. She holds a Master's in Public Law from the State University of Rio de Janeiro, where she defended her thesis entitled "Freedom of Expression and Democracy in the Digital Age", which was subsequently published as a book in Brazil. She holds an LLB from Fundação Getúlio Vargas – Rio de Janeiro. 

Luna has worked as a lawyer advising national and international clients in matters pertaining to digital law and, currently, her doctoral thesis researches platform regulation and governance, with particular emphasis on censorship, freedom of expression and digital threats to democracy.
