Martin Loughlin

Martin Loughlin is Professor of Public Law at the London School of Economics & Political Science. His publications include Against Constitutionalism (2022), Political Jurisprudence (2017), The British Constitution: A Very Short Introduction (2013), Foundations of Public Law (2010), and The Idea of Public Law (2003). A series editor of Oxford Constitutional Theory, he has formerly been General Editor of The Modern Law Review. Martin was elected a Fellow of the British Academy in 2011, in 2015 awarded an honorary LL.D. by the University of Edinburgh and has been a visiting professor at several universities, including Paris II, Pennsylvania, Princeton, Renmin (Beijing) and Toronto.
