Michael Widener is Rare Book Librarian and a Lecturer in Legal Research at Yale Law School. He has been the Rare Book Librarian at the Lillian Goldman Law Library since 2006, and previously was Head of Special Collections at the Tarlton Law Library, University of Texas at Austin. He is also on the faculty of the Rare Book School, University of Virginia, where he has taught "Law Books: History & Connoisseurship" since 2010. He has served as a consultant on the rare book collections of law libraries in the U.S., Mexico, and Australia.
