Porter Nenon

Lowenstein Clinic Student Director


Porter Nenon is a third-year J.D. candidate at Yale Law School who is primarily interested in the protection of human rights during armed conflict. Porter has conducted research on humanitarian issues, especially gender-based harms to civilians, with the International Rescue Committee, Médecins Sans Frontières, and the Refugee Law Project. Porter has also worked for the European Court of Human Rights, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, and civil society organizations in Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, and Ethiopia. Porter holds a B.A. in Political and Social Thought from the University of Virginia and master’s degrees from the University of Manchester and SOAS University of London. Porter speaks English, French, and Kiswahili
