Rebecca Ramirez

Rebecca Ramirez is a Clinical Lecturer in Law and Associate Research Scholar in Law at Yale Law School and a legal fellow at the Natural Resources Defense Council where her work focuses on protecting the health of our ocean and coasts by preventing dirty offshore oil and gas development and combating illegal fishing practices. She previously worked at the Environmental Law Institute as a Public Interest Environmental Law Fellow, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and Earthjustice. Ramirez is admitted to the State Bar of Texas and holds a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law where she received a concentration in environmental law. While a law student, she served as an Associate Editor of the University of Miami Inter-American Law Review and a Student-Attorney in the School’s Human Rights Clinic. Ramirez earned a M.P.S. in Marine Conservation from the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science and a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.
