Sam Whillans is a Clinical Lecturer in Law at Yale Law School and a legal fellow at the Natural Resources Defense Council, where his work centers on climate change, utility affordability, and housing justice. He has previously worked at Earthjustice, Clean Air Council, and the City of Philadelphia Law Department, and as a community solar project developer. Whillans is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he served as the Executive Articles Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Law and Social Change, an Associate Editor at The Regulatory Review, and the Executive Director of the Penn Housing Rights Project. He holds a B.A. from the University of Toronto.
