Recognizing the salience of social class within our community, Yale Law School students commissioned surveys on the student experience that spurred discussion about class issues within the school. Students drafted a list of recommendations and continue to engage the law school community about the impact of social class on students’ experiences at YLS. First Generation Professionals is a student organization for students who are first in their families to go to professional school or who are from a working class or lower-income background.
