Patrick Wieland


Patrick Wieland is a J.S.D. candidate at Yale Law School. He graduated from Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru Law School, and he holds an LL.M. from Yale Law School and an M.Sc. in Environmental Change and Management from the University of Oxford, where he was a recipient of the Chevening Scholarship. Patrick focuses his work on environmental, property, and climate change law.

Patrick has published Introduction to Environmental Law, a casebook in Peru, as well as a number of articles in U.S. journals, including the Harvard Journal of Racial and Ethnic Justice and the NYU Environmental Law Journal. He teaches environmental law at Universidad del Pacifico. From 2015 to 2018, he served as Executive Director of Senace, Peru's environmental licensing agency. He also worked in Peru’s Ministry of Economy and Finance and as a senior associate at Baker & McKenzie, where he led the environmental practice.
