  • Presidential Power in an Age of Conflict

Neil Eggleston is a Visiting Lecturer in Law at Yale Law School. From May 2014 to January 2017, he served as Counsel to President Obama, where he advised the president on legal and constitutional issues across a broad spectrum of domestic and foreign policy matters. He had previously served as Associate Counsel to President Clinton, Deputy Chief Counsel of the Congressional Committee that investigated Iran-Contra, and Chief Appellate Attorney in the Southern District of New York. Eggleston clerked for the Hon. James Hunter III on the Third Circuit as well as for Chief Justice Warren Burger on the Supreme Court. He holds his B.A. from Duke and his J.D. from Northwestern.
