The Law, Environment, and Animals Program (LEAP) at Yale Law School invites applications for a Litigation Fellow to join the Climate Change & Animal Agriculture Legal Initiative (CCAALI) and a Litigation and Program Fellow, who will work across CCAALI and other LEAP initiatives.

LEAP is a multidisciplinary program at Yale Law School dedicated to empowering scholars and students to produce positive legal and political change for animals, people, and the environment upon which they depend. CCAALI, which launched in 2021, focuses on the intersection of climate change and the food system, exploring the potential for legal approaches to hold animal agriculture companies accountable for their climate pollution.

Both fellows will have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research, collaborate with NGOs and partner institutions on potential litigation, and engage with varied areas of law including animal law, climate law, environmental law, and environmental justice. The fellows are expected to have a leading role in helping to develop an emerging area of legal activity through legal research, writing, strategic decision making, relationship building, public education, and collaborating with subject matter experts at Yale and beyond. Each fellow will receive a one-year appointment beginning before or around August 2026, a competitive salary commensurate with experience, and full Yale University benefits.
