Solomon Center Hosts Reunion Breakfast for Health Law and Policy Alums
The Solomon Center for Health Law and Policy at Yale Law School welcomed alumni back to Sterling Law Building on Oct. 18 for its annual health law and policy alumni breakfast. The gathering, part of Yale Law School’s Alumni Weekend, brought together current students and alumni working across a diverse array of health-related fields.
Solomon Center Faculty Director Abbe R. Gluck ’00 spoke about the substantial growth in the number of health law courses, events, and research outputs at Yale in the decade since the Solomon Center was founded. Gluck, the Alfred M. Rankin Professor of Law, also discussed the role the center plays as a hub for students and faculty at the Yale School of Medicine, the Yale School of Public Health, the Yale School of Management, and elsewhere across the University as it works to translate academic insights into actionable policy.
Attendees then discussed their career trajectories, current projects, mentorship opportunities for early-career attorneys, and the growth of the health law field. The event concluded with time for alumni to catch up with one another and connect with current Yale Law School students interested in becoming health lawyers.
