Yale Law School's 2010 Commencement Ceremonies Will Be Held May 24

Yale Law School’s 2010 Commencement ceremony will take place Monday, May 24.

On Sunday evening, May 23, Dean Robert Post ’77 and Professor Reva Siegel ’86 will host a pre-Commencement reception for graduating students, their families, and guests from 5-7 p.m. in the Law School Dining Hall. No tickets are required, and there is no limit on the number of guests. Invitations will be available in the Registrar’s office in April.

University Commencement exercises take place Monday, May 24, at 10:30 a.m. on Old Campus. No tickets are required. Following the Old Campus ceremonies, at approximately noon, Law School Commencement exercises will take place in the Law School Courtyard, where degrees will be conferred. No tickets are required, and there is no limit on the number of guests. Invitations will be available in the Registrar’s office in April. In recent years the Law School ceremony has ended by 2:30 p.m. In case of rain, the Law School ceremony will take place in Payne Whitney Gymnasium’s Lanman Center.

Immediately after the Law School ceremony, at approximately 2:30 p.m., there will be a champagne reception in the Law School Courtyard, followed by an optional buffet luncheon in the Law School Dining Hall. No tickets are required for the champagne reception. Tickets for the luncheon may be purchased at the door for $19 per person. Students may use their unused dining hall meal plan balances or cash to pay for the buffet.
