Shirley Adelson Siegel ’41—A New Experience at the End of Her Career

Shirley Adelson Siegel ’41 was the only woman to graduate with the Yale Law School Class of 1941 and broke through her share of glass ceilings throughout her career. But Siegel’s law career put her at the forefront of many firsts in the fields of civil rights and housing rights—gender notwithstanding.
