Author and civic organizer Pete Davis will argue that elite law schools have a civic and democratic obligation to produce public interest lawyers, and will aim to explain why they're currently failing in that mission.

Pete Davis is a graduate of Harvard Law School, founder of the Democracy Policy Network, and director & producer of Emmy-nominated documentary "Join or Die," on America's half-century of civic unravelling and the work of sociologist Robert Putnam. Davis is also the author of "Our Bicentennial Crisis: A Call to Action for Harvard Law School’s Public Interest Mission."
