Bell (Chair Professor of Political Theory, Faculty of Law, University of Hong Kong) discussing Bell's new book: The Dean of Shandong: Confessions of a Minor Bureaucrat at a Chinese University. Before joining the University of Hong Kong, Professor Bell was the Dean of the School of Political Science and Public Administration at Shandong University. Professor Bell's book presents his view of the workings of Chinese academia and what they reveal about China's political system.
