Virtual Book Launch
In June 2018, Asia-Pacific Centre for Environmental Law (APCEL) and Yale Law School co-organized an international research workshop to critically examine the state of climate change litigation in the Asia Pacific. Climate Change Litigation in the Asia Pacific is the result of the 2018 workshop. Bringing legal academics and lawyers from the Global North and Global South together, the book provides rich insights into how litigation can galvanize climate action in countries including Pakistan, Indonesia, Malaysia and China. It provides in-depth case studies in selected jurisdictions in the Asia Pacific region, a dedicated section on climate change litigation in China, and includes contributions from both established and emerging scholars.
Many exciting developments have unfolded since 2018. At this book launch, four experts will share their insights on these developments in climate change litigation in the Asia Pacific with a particular focus on Australia, China, India and South Korea.
