Come connect with the leading civic innovators pioneering the development and deployment of Blockchain to learn what this groundbreaking technology is, how it is being used to create more transparent and accountable legal and governing processes, and where the risks and pitfalls might be.

Tomicah Tillemann is Co-founder of the Blockchain Trust Accelerator at New America, a partnership to harness Blockchain technology for governance and social impact applications. He also serves as Chairman of the Global Blockchain Business Council and a member of the Advisory Board of the Bit Fury Group, a leading full service Blockchain company. Tillemann previously served under Hillary Clinton and John Kerry as the Secretary of State's Senior Advisor for Civil Society and Emerging Democracies. He led a team of experts that operated like venture capitalists in translating promising ideas and technologies into successful foreign policy. Tillemann joined the State Department in 2009 as Secretary Clinton's speechwriter and collaborated with her on over 200 speeches. Tillemann’s other professional experience includes work with the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, White House, five U.S. Senate and Congressional campaigns, Reuters New Media, and the World Bank. He received his B.A. magna cum laude from Yale University and holds a Ph.D. with distinction from the School for Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University (SAIS).

Brian Behlendorf is the Executive Director of Hyperledger Project. Behlendorf was a primary developer of the Apache Web server, the most popular web server software on the Internet, and a founding member of the Apache Software Foundation. He has also served on the board of the Mozilla Foundation since 2003 and the Electronic Frontier Foundation since 2013. He was the founding CTO of CollabNet and CTO of the World Economic Forum. Most recently, Behlendorf was a managing director at Mithril Capital Management LLC, a global technology investment firm.
