Description

Since the beginning of the pandemic, COVID-19 restrictions such as mask mandates, stay-at-home orders, and restrictions on gatherings have faced numerous legal challenges, forcing judges to evaluate how to balance public health and various individual rights. Judge Fabrizio Cafaggi of Italy, Judge Bénédicte Fauvarque-Cosson of France, and Judge Candice Lavocat Jobim of Brazil will discuss the types of challenges and judicial responses that they have seen in their respective countries as well as what they perceive to be the advantages and disadvantages of the approaches in these countries as compared to the United States.

Registration is required.
