Germany is the largest European country in terms of population and economic output. Its mergers and acquisitions market is one of the strongest in Europe. This seminar will provide insights into German corporate law from the perspective of lawyers in Germany. Which legal forms are available in Germany? Where can basic information about a German entity be found? What are the fundamentals of an asset deal or share deal under German law? What are the particularities of Public M&A transactions in Germany? These–and a lot more–questions will be answered.
Dr. Holger Alfes, LL.M.
Holger Alfes, LL.M. is a partner at Noerr Partners, a top European law firm, with expertise in capital markets law, mergers and acquisitions and restructuring. Dr. Alfes’ practice is focused on capital market transactions (e.g., IPOs, secondary offerings and bond issues), corporate investments and divestitures, including share and asset purchase agreements and due diligence, with a focus on real estate transactions, and advice in restructuring situations.
