Kristen E. Loveland is an appellate advocate specializing in complex litigation with Akin Gump’s Washington, DC. office. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Loveland clerked three times: on the U.S. Supreme Court for Justice Sonia Sotomayor, on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit for Judge Raymond Lohier, and on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York for Judge Jesse Furman. She is a 2016 graduate of New York University School of Law and also holds a PhD from Harvard University and an M.Phil from the University of Cambridge. Ms. Loveland welcomes the opportunity to speak in person with YLS students about her clerkship experiences and her clerkship-application process.
