Conversation with Adam Liptak and Floyd Abrams on The Soul of the First Amendment
Floyd Abrams, a noted lawyer and award-winning legal scholar specializing in First Amendment issues, examines the degree to which American law protects free speech more often, more intensely, and more controversially than is the case anywhere else in the world.
Adam Liptak is the Supreme Court correspondent of The New York Times. A graduate of Yale College and Yale Law School, and former in-house lawyer for the Times, he joined The Times’s news staff in 2002 and began covering the Supreme Court in the fall of 2008. He has written a column, “Sidebar,” on developments in the law, since 2007. He has taught at Yale Law School, including a course in the Spring 2016 with Floyd Abrams on the Supreme Court.
