Join us for the Gruber Distinguished Lecture in Women’s Rights, featuring Professor Tracy Robinson, titled, "Attention to Gender in a Not-So-Righted Order."

About the speaker: Tracy Robinson is a Professor of Law at The University of the West Indies, Mona, and a leading expert in Caribbean constitutional law, gender, and human rights. She has held visiting positions at NYU, University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Toronto. Her interdisciplinary research informs her advocacy, including co-founding the UWI Rights Advocacy Project (U-RAP), which led landmark LGBTQ rights litigation in Belize and Guyana. She is a former President of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights and served as its inaugural Rapporteur on the Rights of LGBTI Persons and Rapporteur on the Rights of Women. Robinson also served on the U.N. Fact-Finding Mission on Libya (2020–2023) and has advised U.N. Women and UNICEF on legal reform across the Caribbean. Her co-authored book, "Fundamentals of Caribbean Constitutional Law" (2021), is widely cited throughout the region.
