Faiza Patel is senior director of the Brennan Center for Justice’s Liberty and National Security Program. Her work focuses on national security and government surveillance, particularly the targeting of minority communities and protestors. Her most recent research focuses on how to promote respect for civil rights and civil liberties when national security and law enforcement agencies deploy AI.
