Description

Sari Bashi is a Lecturer in Law and the Robina Foundation Visiting Human Rights Fellow at Yale Law School. She writes and lectures on international humanitarian law and Israeli policy toward the occupied Palestinian territories, especially Gaza. Bashi came to Yale Law School after serving as the Israel/Palestine Country Director at Human Rights Watch. Prior to joining Human Rights Watch, she co-founded the Israeli human rights group Gisha, promoting the right to freedom of movement in Gaza, and served as its executive director from its foundation in 2005 until 2014.
