Each summer, the Schell Center funds Kirby Simon fellows to do at least six weeks of international human rights-related work at placements around the world. Recent placements include the European Court of Human Rights, International Rights Advocates, the Capital Appeals Project, and the Clooney Foundation, among many others. Kirby Simon Fellowships cover both living expenses (a weekly stipend at the SPIF rate for up to 12 weeks) and travel costs. Law students who are eligible for financial aid are eligible for Kirby Simon Fellowships. This information session will cover the application process, fellowship requirements, and other details of the fellowship. We will also hear from a panel of last summer's fellows who will speak to their experiences and take questions. Dinner will be provided.
The 2025 application (due in late March) and further information can be found on the Schell Center website.
