Description

Join the Yale Environmental Law Association this coming Wednesday (September 19) at 12:10 pm in Room 121 for an event featuring Ted Hamilton! Ted will discuss, "Law, the Humanities, and Environmental Activism."

Ted is an incredible humanist and environmental activist. He is currently a PhD student here at Yale in comparative literature, studying the intersection of law, humanities and the environment; but before that, he got a JD from Harvard (where he was very involved with the divestment fight) and then worked as an attorney defending climate activists. He's a co-founder of the Climate Defense Project, which brought the first fossil fuel divestment lawsuit, Harvard Climate Justice Coalition v. President and Fellows of Harvard College, arguing that Harvard had a legal responsibility to divest from fossil fuels.
