12:10PM - 1:00PM
SLB Room 129
Open to the YLS Community Only

It is increasingly rare that legal academics move directly from their first law degree to a tenure-track teaching position. Most will spend one or more years in various fellowship positions or a position as a VAP (Visiting Assistant Professor). Professors Taisu Zhang '08, PhD '14 and Joshua Macey '17 will lead a conversation about these positions - the pros and cons of different sorts of fellowships or advanced degrees (including PhDs, JSDs and LLMs) and how to make the best use of these opportunities.
