Previously, he served as a special advisor for finance and investment at USAID Power Africa, a US government initiative to develop clean energy infrastructure in Africa, and worked as a summer associate at the Awethu Project, a South African venture capital firm. He began his career in immigration and economic policy advocacy at the European Parliament and conducted independent research on federalism and policy reform in the US and EU as a Fulbright scholar, Humanity in Action fellow, and Coro Fellow.
At Yale, Tosin focused his learnings on energy and climate change policy, project finance and the African regional economic court systems. Today, he lives in Brooklyn with his wife, is an avid fan of the Brooklyn Nets and Duke Basketball, and is currently struggling to learn how to either speak German or play his pandemic purchase – a beautiful electric guitar.
