Robert Malley is a senior fellow at the Yale Jackson School and the co-author, with Hussein Agha, of "Tomorrow is Yesterday: Life, Death, and the Pursuit of Peace in Israel/Palestine." He served as U.S. Special Envoy for Iran in the Biden Administration from January 2021 to April 2023. Prior to that, he was president and CEO of the International Crisis Group. Under President Barack Obama, he served as special assistant to the President, senior advisor to the President for the Counter-ISIL campaign, and White House Coordinator for the Middle East, North Africa and Gulf Region. Prior to that he was special assistant to President Clinton for Arab-Israeli Affairs and director for Near East and South Asian Affairs at the National Security Council.
Samuel Moyn is the Kent Professor of Law and History at Yale University, where he also serves as head of Grace Hopper College.
Aslı Ü. Bâli is the Howard M. Holtzmann Professor of Law at Yale Law School and the President of the Middle East Studies Association of North America.
Michael Hanna is the U.S. Program Director at the International Crisis Group where he leads the organization’s research, analysis, policy prescription and advocacy on U.S. foreign policy in conflict settings. Prior to joining Crisis Group, Hanna was a senior fellow at The Century Foundation.
