We invite you to join Deborah Archer ’96 and Cristina Rodríguez ’00, Leighton Homer Surbeck Professor of Law and Faculty Director of the Ludwig Program in Public Sector Leadership, for a conversation on leadership.

Deborah Archer is Associate Dean of Experiential Education & Clinical Programs and Co-Faculty Director of the Center on Race, Inequality, and the Law at New York University School of Law. Deborah is also the President of the ACLU and a nationally recognized expert on civil liberties, civil rights, and racial justice. She is an award-winning teacher and legal scholar whose articles have appeared in leading law reviews. Before full-time teaching, Deborah worked as an attorney with the ACLU and the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc., where she litigated voting rights, employment discrimination, and school desegregation. Deborah previously served as Chair of the New York City Civilian Complaint Review Board, the nation’s oldest and largest police oversight agency.

Deborah is a graduate of Yale Law School and Smith College.
