How to Brief a Case with Robert Harrison, Lecturer in Legal Method:  This workshop will give you another opportunity to introduce yourself to the principles of case-briefing to help you prepare for class, perform legal research, and study for final exams over dinner. The workshop also provides you with some background information about the American legal system. Note: You must RSVP to attend and you must do the assigned reading prior.

Workshop on: "Introduction to the American Court System Through the Lens of a Case”

Robert Harrison, lecturer in legal method at Yale Law School (who teaches legal writing and legal research) will delve into background on the court system, including how panels of judges vote to decide cases and to draft opinions.  His workshop also devotes some time to why 1Ls find court cases so difficult to read and includes some personal stories.
