Public Interest Student Groups Info Session and Happy Hour

A broad range of YLS public interest student groups are holding an info session and happy hour for interested 1Ls on Wednesday, September 4th. The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. in SLB Room 120. Pizza will be provided! Each student group will provide a (very) brief introduction to their work. At 7 p.m. we will walk to Rudy’s Bar at 1227 Chapel Street for a more informal happy hour / meet and greet. Students are welcome to attend either and both parts of the event.

HRW: Adam Isacson, "A Crisis with Deep Roots: U.S. Foreign Policy and Central America’s Exodus"

Adam Isacson has worked on defense, security, and peacebuilding in Latin America since 1994. He now directs WOLA’s Defense Oversight program, which monitors U.S. cooperation with Latin America’s security forces, as well as other security trends. Since 2011, Isacson has also focused on border security. He has visited the U.S.-Mexico border about 20 times, and has also completed field research along nearly the entire border between Mexico and Guatemala.
