As a reminder, applications for Fall 2020 Dean's Advisor positions are due by TUESDAY, FEB. 11, 2020 by 5pm. Applications should be submitted via YaleConnect and must include: 

1. Statement of interest outlining any relevant experience (for example, any counseling or peer advisor experience) 
2. Resume
3. Unofficial Transcript
4. Confidential statement of support from a YLS peer (this can be sent directly by your peer to Cat.kirchhoff@yale.edu)
5. Response to the hypothetical DA scenario

People often conceptualize the internet as a single global community. Information wants to be free, and the internet enables citizens from everywhere in the world to mingle, share information, and learn from one another about far away events. While all these things are true, the reality of the internet is that it presents only a marginal barrier to identification. The laws and technologies of many places, both expected and unexpected, limit what people can do online, and how they can be tracked and identified while doing it.

WoCC and YLW Present: A Lunch Talk with Professor Meera Deo

Professor Deo will be speaking about her book, Unequal Profession: Race and Gender in Legal Academia. Comparing the professional and personal experiences of women of color professors with white women, white men, and men of color faculty from assistant professor through dean emeritus, Unequal Profession explores how the race and gender of individual legal academics affects not only their individual and collective experience, but also legal education as a whole.
