The Media Freedom and Information Access Clinic at Yale Law School and The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press are proud to announce a newly created network of law school clinics, academics, and practitioners (including nonprofits) from across the country that seeks to promote and protect free speech, free press, and the flow of information. The network will focus on government accountability, transparency, and freedom of expression to encourage an informed and engaged citizenry. Our members work on media law, transparency, and/or access issues, either as their primary focus or as it intersects with their work on other issues.
Our vision for the nationwide network is to create a pipeline through which potential clients and cases can be funneled to members who can help. A goal of the network is to bring members together around common issues and projects to make a bigger impact by doing the work in multiple jurisdictions. By connecting members to learn from each other and share ideas, many topics can be addressed more efficiently.
