11/13: ECHR Deadline - Nov. 13, 5pm (postgraduate and Kirby Simon)
- Kirby Simon: Include CV and cover letter and submit to humanrightsfellowship@yale.edu. Applicants selected by the ECHR will be invited to apply for the Kirby Simon in March. Those not chosen are free to apply for other opportunities with Schell or other programs.
- Postgraduate: Include CV, cover letter, and at least one letter of recommendation and submit to humanrightsfellowship@yale.edu. Applicants selected by the ECHR will be invited to apply for the Robina between January 5th and February 4th via the common application. Those not chosen are free to apply for other opportunities with Schell or other programs.
11/27: IACtHR Deadline - Nov. 27th, 5pm (postgraduate only)
- Include writing sample and cover letter demonstrating experience with investigative or advisory opinion style memos on legal issues, CV, transcript, and one academic and one professional reference. Submit to humanrightsfellowship@yale.edu. Prefer Spanish fluency. May also accept Portugese. The candidate selected will be invited to apply for the Robina no later than by February 4, 2027, via the common application.

The Schell Center offers Yale Law School students and graduates and Yale undergraduates diverse opportunities outside the classroom to contribute to human rights work as they learn about and critically examine human rights practice. Through Kirby Simon Summer Fellowships and the Bernstein and Robina Postgraduate Fellowships, students and recent Law School graduates can explore activism and human rights work around the world.
