Voice of America

A federal judge issued a temporary restraining order prohibiting the Trump administration from taking further steps to silence Voice of America (VOA), a government-funded broadcaster with an audience of over 300 million people around the world.

The Media Freedom and Information Access (MFIA) Clinic at Yale Law School represents seven Voice of America journalists and assisted the clinic’s co-counsel in preparing for the successful hearing on the temporary restraining order, which was granted on March 28, 2025.
