Seeking Full or Part-Time Summer Research Assistants - Animal Agriculture Accountability Project

The Animal Agriculture Accountability Project (AAAP) is a project within the Law, Environment & Animals Program1 (LEAP) at Yale Law School. This effort focuses on identifying the most promising litigation strategies that have or may be used to address the negative impacts caused by industrial systems of livestock production.

We are seeking law student research assistants to work on multiple research areas related to this initiative. This work will explore a range of different areas of litigation ranging from environmental law to labor law to public health law and identify cases that have attempted to address some of the negative externalities generated by industrial systems of livestock production.

Research assistants will work to build a database of relevant cases that will be used to assess the viability of different litigation strategies. The ultimate goal of this work is to determine which past, current, and potential litigation strategies hold the most promise and to guide future research and funding in this space.

We are seeking students willing to contribute on a full or part time basis with flexible work hours for a minimum of six weeks over the summer.

RA work will be overseen by Ann Linder2. The project is directed by Jon Lovvorn3 and LEAP Faculty Director Doug Kysar4. This position is paid at the law school’s RA hourly rate of $17.50.

How to apply:
To apply, please submit your resume or CV and a brief message explaining your interest, relevant experience, and when and how much time you anticipate being able to contribute to ann.linder@yale.edu. Positions will be filled on a rolling basis.
