Genevieve Scott

Genevieve Scott is a Visiting Clinical Lecturer in Law, Associate Research Scholar in Law, and Senior Fellow, Program for the Study of Reproductive Justice at Yale Law School. She previously served as Senior Counsel, U.S. Litigation at the Center for Reproductive Rights, where she played a key role in forming the Center's U.S. legal strategy and led successful constitutional and federal administrative challenges across the country, obtaining relief from religious refusals and restrictions on access to reproductive health care. Scott also advised on federal and state legislation to codify protections for reproductive autonomy, including the Women's Health Protection Act and Michigan's Reproductive Freedom for All state constitutional amendment. Prior to joining the Center, Scott clerked for the Honorable Helene N. White of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. She previously worked as an Attorney with the ACLU of Michigan, as an Associate at Mayer Brown LLP, and as a Resident Policy Fellow with Yale Law School's Program for the Study of Reproductive Justice. Scott received a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a B.A. from Smith College.
