User Requirements


  • Event support must be requested using the online request tool, https://av.law.yale.edu & at least 2 business days in advance of the event for support during business hours, and two-weeks in advance for support that requires staff-over time (after 6:00 PM M-F or on a holiday or weekend)
  • Consultation and a walk-through of the venue are required for events with multiple panels or special considerations. Please contact Dan Griffin for more information.
  • For self-support of weekend events training is required
  • For live streaming, signed release forms are required prior to start of event. For more information contact av.law@yale.edu
  • For video recording, signed release forms are required before event can be posted to the web. Please return all signed release forms at one time.
  • Upon completion of post-production editing video recordings will be posted to the Law School Vimeo site as long as all requirements are met.

Pricing


Video Production and Editing

There is a fee for service for all event recordings. Recordings in the faculty lounge and auditorium require a camera operator. All recording will incure a post-production editing fee and require captioning before they can be posted to the web. Rates are outlined below.

Closed Captioning$150-300/hourThis service is outsourced. Rate goes up for recordings with poor sound quality or for rush service. Captioning is required per Yale University policy for all recorded content posted to the web. Standard four business day turnaround.
Camera Operator$80.00/hour*Required in the auditorium and faculty lounge.
Live Streaming$80.00/hour* 

Labor

Minimum of one hour
Dedicated support staff business hours $80.00/hour
Dedicated support staff after hours $120.00/hour
Dedicated support staff on weekend $360.00 minimum charge (note: weekend support staff is not guaranteed and depends on staff availability)

* Overtime rate applies when event falls outside Law School business hours.
