Joseph Brau

Joseph Brau is a clinical lecturer in law with the Environmental Justice Law and Advocacy Clinic at Yale Law School as part of the Yale-NRDC Environmental Law Fellowship. 

As part of this fellowship, he worked as a federal legal climate fellow within the Climate & Clean Energy Program at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) in New York City. A recent graduate of New York University School of Law, his work centers on climate litigation and environmental justice, with an interest in points of interaction and interference between state and federal regimes. During his schooling, he was a legal extern in the environmental enforcement section of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Environment and Natural Resources Division, a legal intern for the Litigation Team of NRDC, a clinical intern for the Institute for Policy Integrity, and a summer public service fellow at the Environmental Protection Bureau of the Office of the Attorney General of New York. Prior to law school, he worked as a consultant at Deloitte Consulting in New York, where he worked on long term business transformation projects.
